Signing off

When I sold Bucco Blog to Baseball Interactive Media (BIM) last year I agreed to post uncompensated for one year while the blog continued and they added more writers.  That year is up in the last quarter but, unfortunately, our plans don’t always fit into God’s plans.

Three weeks ago I found out my son needed surgery which is set for late next week.  Because I expect to be nursing him 24/7 for up to a month after, I told BIM my last post here would be Tuesday August 26th.

I admit I’m also burned out.

Including my near daily rants at pirateball.com over the years, I’ve been posting the equivalent of a daily opinion for almost one-third of the sixteen years this club has been floundering with one goal – hoping the fans would eventually see ownership’s true motivation… wealth, not wins.

As for Bucco Blog, I’m guessing BIM intends to bring on some writers and continue following the team since readership is so high. Perhaps someone at BIM will post a message at the bottom of this post to let you know.

Thank you for your fellowship over the years and be sure not to miss the last article next week.  You can reach me at buccoblog[AT]gmail.com.
