Classics

Here’s a few links to posts in the archive I think you’ll enjoy since I’m traveling today and don’t have a lot of time:

More Jack on Jack

Why good pitching alone means nothing (good)
Part II (better)
Part III (best)
Part IV (poor Freddy)

Can you tell I don’t like the Brewers?

Did he really say that? (read the last 13 words)

Team hits .230 or better and gets a 65% win probability (I’ll have to check 2008)

Here’s one Kerrigan needs to read (and I need to update thru 2008)

And then there is the all-time classic – Thunderstruck (to get those juices flowing)

Enjoy!

I have a Q&A planned with Pirates Director of Player Development Kyle Stark so email me any questions you might like to see included using the email link in the right sidebar.

Neal Huntington added another special assignment scout to his ranks with the signing of Keith Champion.  You might remember the Champion name when his brother Kirk was in the running to be Boston’s pitching coach for 2007.  Keith has been around the game a long time and is a plus addition to Huntington’s staff.

I suspect there will be even more additions and subtractions down the road.

Nice to hear that you have something good to say about Champion. I really hope he does turn out to be a good hire for us.
